Would be extremely valuable if McLeod could validate the number of loads (or loaded miles) a carrier was on against the number of trucks they say they have, for fraud and double brokering purposes. From either a notification, or a carrier file note, all the way to preventing dispatch of another load should they exceed.
If this went forward, I'd love some controls on setting these bands and alerts too.
Brian, Thank you for taking the time to send us your suggestion. We have been working with Highway to develop these types of alerts. I think having a global view of what the carrier might be doing with you as well as other brokers now or as history would be the likely way to solve this issue. I am sure there are some measures we could take on our own and we will continue to explore those.
